3000gt Re Map

Hi all. I’m from South Wales and I want to have my 3000gt engine re mapped. I’ve contacted all performance garages in my area and they say they don’t have the software/ chip for this car. Does anyone know of anywhere that specialises with 3000gt ecu re-mapping .

Thanks all

Hi and welcome

you wont be able to get the stock ecu remapped or chipped so dont believe anyone willing to take your money .

You can go piggyback ecus or standalone units to help you , some of the guys on here are running clone ecus too , im sure they will be along to advise , if you want honest tuning advice a phonecall to Eurospec and ask for Ben wouldnt go a miss , he has dynod’ a lot of the cars in the club now

Aw thanks Craig . Yes I’m looking to modify the vehicle and would certainly need a chat about this matter with someone :). If you could get his contact then I can phone him . Thanks again

Where abouts are you in south wales, we are having a south west meet soon, if you want to come and meet some members

Cheers,
Neil

No problem we are here to help and thats a nice looking car you have there .

What are your goals performance wise ? theres a lot of tuned cars in the club running different configurations to achieve that . A lot of us have been through it so know what works and what doesnt , we have people like @Paulw who has built and self tuned his to over 500bhp @gavin_naish is currently running well and building a new lump , @Marty_K has been playing with them for years and used to build his own turbos , these are just a few of the guys who know their stuff . Mine used to run over 450bhp back in the day so ask away

Craig

Yes I’m looking to up it to over 400bhp. Firstly maybe need to get a bigger fuel pump, injectors, better free glowing intake and exhaust ?. I understand a boost controller will be effective too ? I’m sure you guys know what I need to do

Hi Neil , I’m in Neath :)… When are you meeting mate?

Thanks

First thing to do is cambelt change if you are unsure of when it was last done .

To get over 400 you will be wanting fuel pump, fuel regulator , injectors, boost control and some way of controlling the injectors be it piggy back ecu or standalone ,turbos , dependent on condition of intercoolers these may need changing too .

These are obviously the things I would be looking at doing , some people like rinsing the stock setup

Craig has some good advise here. If you are aiming for 400+ then my set up is as good as it gets in my opinion. I have:

13T turbos from Evil Empire (trader on here)
RC 550cc injectors
Walbro fuel pump
Aeromotive FPR
Usual intake and exhaust mods
Fidanza lightweight flywheel (not necessary)
MAF-T PRO piggy back (mapped in speed density so no MAF and it does my boost control too)

This is getting me to 430bhp on a very conservative tune with no race fuel or meth injection etc. With a slightly more aggressive tune (but still safe) it should see 450ish.

In my opinion (although I may be biased) 13T’s are the way to go for a road car. Good power all through the revs and lightning quick spool. If you come to the south west meet and if I manage to make it then I would be more than happy to take you for a spin so you can see what you’re in for!

We are meeting just off the m4 motorway junction 16. Its a little drive from you but not the end of the world.

Cheers,
Neil.

Ok yeah I’ll be there . Just let me know when that will be so I can make sure I book it off Work.
Thanks Neil

Thanks for your info Max . I will certainly take you up on that ;). You can advise me on what needs to be done . Let me know when the meeting is . Cheers mate
