Cover plates

I just had a thought Dan, it is not the cover plate that you were supposed to be doing for me was it? It was that GTO one and the cam covers  Dont matter, just bring what you got and we can sort it out there

I know pal it is a plenium plate for you will be bringing them with me.

Thanks

Dann

So Sorry if you wanted one of these at JAE and you never found me. But I had to go early on the Sunday due to my parents etc long story haha

Please just PM me if you want and I will sort it for you.

Thanks

Dann

did you meet andy mate :? if not ill still have one off ya

scott

yes I did you only wanted a plenium plate he has one for you.

Thanks

Dann

Tried fitting one of these this afternoon and the bolt holes don’t line up by a couple of mm’s! Is this normal? Anyone else had this problem?

On the last years single design they were out by about .5mm the top left but since then it has been corrected and all the twin plate ones have been correct and had no problems.

Can you just try fitting the stainless bit on own and see if that fits then just the all on own and see if that fits May be one could be slightly bent if it does not fit at all I will send you another but will try it on my rocker cover first to make sure.

Thanks and sorry for any probs caused pal.

Dann

It’s probably just my car, as nothing is ever straight forward with it

I’ll give it another go tomorrow when I have more time, I’m sure it’s nothing I can’t sort out. You wouldn’t want it back now anyway, it’s covered in blue paint

hahaha pal I would just send another you could have 2 then one for the wall lol.

I think the all could be slightly bent I was very careless packing the car Friday morning I put all the plates on the bottom in a asda bag then the suit cases on top might have just twisted the ally a little.

If you do have to do any work to it though please tell me and I can amend the drawing slightly at my end then this can never happen again or slightly slot the holes etc.

Thanks Allen Sorry for any messing

Dann

mine was out by 1mm but i just had to ream some holes out by 1/2 a mm so no big deal and the bolts still cover the holes
mo

Sorry to hear that All,

Mine fits perfectly.

Nice car by the way!!

Cheers,

Jim

Managed to give it another go today. I knew that the ends were different lengths, but after a PM from Dan I flipped the whole thing over from top to bottom. Low and behold now it fits! I just assumed it would be symetrical, silly me.

Looks fabulous on the car now, but won’t post up a pic yet as I’m waiting for some groovy anodised blue bolts from fleebay to arrive. They only did them in packs of 6 so if anyone else gets them let me know and we can donate the 2 spare ones to a lucky club member.

These are the bolts I’m getting, but there are plenty of other types to choose from:

Dann,
aer you going to get soem nice pics up of your stuff! I had intended to get a plenum cover off you in blue but forgot…had you got one mate…anything else bling to be bought from you

Mark

Hey pal am in process of designing some other stuff as we speak.

I only do at mo :-

Spark plug covers = GTO / 3000GT or out you want cut in.
Plenium connector cover plate = GTOUK / 3000GT again out you want but no more than 7 letters as it would look daft then.

Pm me with what you want.

I will be sorting out pics asap for you.

Thanks

Dann

Thanks Dan
