Going to view a UK twin turbo tonight which I have been assured (by the guy who built it not the owner) is as clean as they come and has some tasty upgrades too!!

It was āapparentlyā built by eurospec. I say apparently but I have no reason to doubt the seller. But I will reserve judgement until I have spoken to Ben about it. A friend of mine used to work at Eurospec so I would be very happy if it was built there as I know the craftsmanship is excellent.

I did indeed. Couldnāt say no really. It had Ā£15k spent on an engine rebuild 5000 miles ago and I paid Ā£3.5k. I couldnāt find any real faults at all. Only some small cosmetic issues inside (front seats a tad worn). And a window seal needs changing. Doesnāt leak but it has been bodged. Other than that its stunning. And very quick!
Oh i know that car from years back its been sold about 3 times in 3 months on ebay

Sold on ebay for just over 2K a few weeks back and i would take that Ā£15K with a pinch of salt as i heard it was a 2nd hand engine that went inā¦
I know the original owner well and i can find out the truth as he only sold it a few months back
The car came from Braintree in Essex from a guy who had it for years and before that it was owned by a guy in Billericay in Essex for many many years before that
It can be a very nice car with a little work and as i said its a rare colour which there many be only 3-4 of them like it

The guy I bought it from bought 7 Jap sports cars a few months ago (including this one) and knew sweet FA about any of them. But he was moving house and lost his storage unit so had to sell them all. I found a receipt from when he bought it for Ā£3.6kā¦ It was apparently a second hand engine that was rebuilt and fitted by Eurospec so when I can get in touch with Ben I will confirm this. I gave it a proper going over and couldnāt find any faults at all. And it drive amazingly well. I will do all the usual service items this weekend anyway as I always would and as Iām there I will do a compression test.
I have a print out from the mapping and all looks well there too and the AFR gauge seems to follow the target AFRās but I want to get it on a Rolling Road asap to double check that. When I speak to Ben I will book her in.
The colour is the one to have in my opinion. The guy selling it said when he bought it he was told it was the only UK one in that colour left but I didnāt believe that. Like you say probably 3 or 4.
Thanks for the heads-up Rob I will be very careful as always for the first few months and get a proper look when I service her this weekend.
Give me a call when you have 5 mins as you will need to update the firmware in the MAFT Pro as yours will be ancient version and we have some new settings that you can use to get better MPG

ok to update this thread.
Been harrasing Ben alot lately, guy cracks me up, literally.
anyway can we vote on whether we want the burger van there or not and also it would be a good idea if we could collect some money upfront which is purely to stop us getting to the day and only having 3 people turn up and Ben loosing a whole days worth of cash.
So if you can firstly put next to your name whether you want the burger van or not and secondly how youād like to pay, or course you can pay him cash on the day itās just whether you want to get it out the way or not. I can pretty much accept any form of payment but must stress it is not refundable if you canāt make it, pull out or canāt be arsed to go. Iām not geting involved in refunds if someone pulls out and then gets someone else to replace them. Iām gonna be passing everything over to Ben and if he makes double on someones session for baulking then tough titty. iām just the money handler/passeroner. This also has nothing to do with GTO UK and I take this on under my own undertaking. So donāt bitch at the club either if you pull out and loose your money.
For the record I manage client moneys for a living and have to show at anytime I have the full balances in my ring fenced business accounts so there is absolutley no temptation.
Anyway if we could set a deadline of January 10th. And say below about burger van and payment. And of course if anyone else wants to tag along running or not join in.

maxbradley - Not too fussed on the burger van but if it is there I would probably indulge in a bit of horse - Would prefer to pay cash but I have no problems paying up front if it helps secure the date.
