The extras long boot fittings are normal. They are on my MK1 too. I think it’s an N/A thing maybe?
As for polishing the wheels, Depends how bad they are. I used brasso metal polish on my Supra wheels and they came up a treat. Took some of the tarnish off with steel wool first.

Sits well, mines on stilts with 18’s on.
That’s nice wish mine looked that good.
The wheels are 17 inch. Its got blistein suspension. I’ve seen some really bad wheel fitments on these cars!
