I really wish it was, sadly it’s not. However I don’t want to sell the car with a known issue, or hide it under a bodge.
Ok, there is rust in the nearside rear wheel arch, where the sill and arch join. In itself not a major job, seen plenty of other GTO/3000GT’s rust in the same area. Rest of the car underside responded well to the hammer test, the offside arch will probably need doing too though.
If you’re handy with a welder it’s a day’s work including stripping and replacing the back half of the interior to remove the sideskirts for access. If you can’t weld, it’s probably a hundred quids worth of welding plus your time getting access to it.
Therefore to take account of the work, the price is:
£2800
By far the cheapest you’ll find a Mk.4’d GTO anywhere, and a £695 discount on what I wanted before. However, this is a fixed price, no offers - I am well aware of what the car is worth in parts. I know I could break the car for a lot more but I don’t have the time and to be honest I can’t bring myself to undo all of what I’ve done to the car.
Provisionally sold
Blimey that was quick Scott , sad day mate that was probably the best one you have owned , that said the black one was a good worker for you
