1994 gto auto for sale

Hi guys i’m new here.having owned a 1990 gto for 10 years which i sold about 6 months ago (a very good one lovingly cared for) i then bought this one quite cheap due to the fact that it had several issues.Namely, speedometer not working all the time, passenger window regulator not working, scratch on drivers door and a decat exhaust which was too loud for my taste! But most importantly no service history ,hence i allowed for a timing belt service (one of the biggest worries)
However, coming home one evening (3 up) doing about 30/35,the back wheels locked up and we ended up slung 90 degrees across the road in a cloud of smoke off the tyres.Had this happened on the A12 just a few minutes earlier then i might not be here to write this!
It probably needs a new transfer box,but since my wife is now terrified of the thing,i have now bought a jag xk8 and really don’t want to put any money into this car.
On the positive side,it does have a really good engine with none of the ticking sounds on startup and with the exhaust and this being a mk11 it’s a little bit quicker in 1st and 2nd gear. The 2 rear tyres have about 50 miles on them (toyo proxes tr-1 235/17) Front tyres good and all new valves and balanced, new discs/pads all round, stainless decat exhaust.17 inch alloys.New gearbox oil, recent engine oil/filter
clock is showing 80,975. MOT march 15th 2011
I would really prefer that someone take the whole car and i’m open to sensible offers if anyone is willing to trailer it.I’m in ipswich.

Do you have a price in mind for the whole car if not a price on the exsaust system cheers

lol, thanks,Hopefully when they say minus 27 degrees in jan they mean the furtherest tip of scotland or this car is going to be a garden ornament for a while yet…

still for sale :frowning: really need to shift this one way or another

This car has now been sold.
I have some new unused parts left- 2 front strut top mounts(many cars have splits in these) also 2 front shocks mounting rubbers(mb633360),reinforced plates/rubber mounts(mb633330) and a brake cylinder kit (mb857842)

If you’re wondering why i bought new reinforced plates then you’ve never had the’pleasure’ of attempting to have an intelligent conversation with mitsubishi parts dept. This is where you end up pointing to parts on a complex black and white diagram hoping they are the right ones ‘is that rubber or metal?’ mitsubishi- ‘dunno’ ‘this is the parts dept yeah?’ Yes but you really need to speak to a mechanic’.
In the early days (before i discovered rob at evilempire) i swear i would go in there and one of the guys there would say ‘more parts’ (as in ‘more bloody parts’) He actually said to me once that he’d ‘never drive one of those things’- what a wonderfull attitude and a credit to the company
Anyway, every time i see a gto (which is very rare) it will bring back happy memories of my first one- 1990 black auto.As for this one that i just sold,it’s good to know that it will be restored and put back on the road
The guy who bought it also lives in ipswich so i will get to see it when its back on the road
Having had the xk8 a few months i gotta say i wouldn’t go back to gto’s but for the money they are hard to beat- possibly one of the worlds most underated cars.Theres no way i trust the jag in the twisty bits at speed like i did the gto- even with its traction control/electronic suspension and 255’s fr/285’s rear, but it makes up for that in interior quality and and elegant drive/looks,and power when you want it.
So,if you haven’t bought a gto yet,find a good one and enjoy…you only live once 8)
Thank you gtouk
thank you rob at evil empire- great prices/expertise/service
