For those that may be travailing down quite a distance to the show after further contact with the
Ashington Festival Committee they have agreed that any one wishing to pitch a tent for sleeping
over night may do so on the car show ground… this would include both Friday night as well as
Saturday night so that you may stay if you wish for all the evening entertainment’s that continue
until midnight…
The car show itself however usually starts to brake up around 5 or 6 pm…
The only stipulations the Ashington Festival Committee have requested are :-
Any tents erected must be taken down around 9am on the day of the car show itself and that NO
camp fires are lit and no music played…
They also stated that there will be NO toilets during the night and would advise no one using
surrounding hedges due to risk of complaints from near by housing and that there is constant
CCTV over the show ground along with security guards constantly on site…
Either way this will give any one wishing to just have some where to put their head down for the
night some where to do so… Some thing that past years the Festival Committee has never agreed
to before.
