Tracy and I went to this years AGM knowing full well that the subject of the newsletter publication was on the agenda.
We had decided that after last years fiasco ie all the hard work put in by us and the members who contributed never reaching publication, we were not prepared to carry on this role in 2008.
However after thrashing it out at the AGM we agreed to give it another go.
Whilst we have regained our enthusiasm, we are conscious that you guys may not share this enthusiasm after some of you sent in excellent articles which never came to fruition.
Unlike last year we have been given responsiblity for the entire process upto and including publication, this way we can assure you that anything submitted WILL be published.
So lets get this up and running guys…
We need articles with pics if possible. Car related, family related, quizzes, events, some things can be picked up from the News section but please PM, or email to [email protected] things that dont go in there.
We will be doing a section on a specific theme (like the engine bay article I did in a previous newsletter). We will let you know the theme and ask for your pics in the next couple of days.
We’d like them to start trickling in as soon as really, we would like all the articles with us within the month, but not all after a month if you know what I mean as we need to do a lot of work on them once received, so a steady flow from now, so we can get cracking, would be ideal.
how about some newbie stuff for all us new owners/members? stuff like basic tuning (bolt-ons), wheel/tyre size, servicing oils and intervals, not just book stuff but good ownership practice and prob lots of other things i cant think of but get asked all the time. just an idea.
