22 year old sky quote, good or bad?

Hi all, Thought I would share an insurance quote I had last week.

Male, 22yrs, Student, No claims/convictions/points etc… Driving for 4 years, currently driving a mildly modfied Vectra SRI {to be insured 3rd party fire & theft on a } IMPORT 1991 GTO Twin Turbo Z16a doing about 5k a year with declared mods: Induction kit, Aftermarket BOV, Boost controller, delimited, turbo timer. a very resonable £1280 from Sky, Bargain I say, not likely to find this any cheaper am I?

Sam

Sounds like a good deal , considering you are 22 and the vehicle has modifications.

Regards

Craig

Seems decent to me. I am 24, 2yrs NC, licence over 6 years, just got renewal in at £950, TPF&T.

Thanks chaps, thought it sounded like a good deal. I Know £1300 is by no means cheap but considering what it allow’s me to drive I think its worth every penny.

£334 fully comp, 30 yrs old 6 points declared  now i’m happy with that…

Got my renewal from Footman James yesterday £332 so thought i wouldn`t better that, but just logged into the above site out of interest to see what they could do, £247.78 fully comp, 2x SP30 but only one valid =3 points, 6 yrs NCB, Garaged, mileage upto 5000, Now that is cheap!!
( Insured thro Highway )

Julian.

It’s a good price. I’m quite close in comparison with regards to situation:

At 23, I insured my 91 TT, quite a few mods all declared, agreed value of £7500, garaged, no points but one fault accident about 3 years ago, £981 fully ocmp, which was about £1000 better than other quotes, although I found the vast majority were not happy insuring me, and simply outright refused when I mentioned that lovely phrase - ‘modified import’.

I had 2 years NCB. I now have 3 and am 24 so it should drop this year - I will be staying with Sky.

God knows how they managed that, they quoted £928, 29 yrs old, no points, 6 yrs ncd. ?

You sure they got yours down as a TT?

much cheaper than mines and im 22 too.

I just renewed with Sky today,

£521 fully comp, protected NCD. Saves me about a hundred quid on last year with Privilege. Only a £350 excess too, and not the whopping £650 that was on the Privilege policy renewal

All in all, not too bad.

got me worried there so i checked to make sure, yeah it is mate, full ncb 6 points, although i said it’s parked in an armed guarded car park… ie on camp.

My lass’ pug 306 td sport is surprisingly more expensive

coops

coops[/quote]

I can see how having several armed squaddies around would bring the premium down a bit.
