I am currently looking into re-join the club after a very long time of absence and have a 3000GT on my radar currently talking with the owner. I originally joined the club when i owned a Mk1 gun metal grey automatic N/A and a Red Mk2 6 speed manual MR.
After discussing the car in detail with the owner i have been inform that as on the advert it has a 5 speed manual box fitted and that its correct for the version and that he has not been changed it in his 11 years plus ownership.
My question is and after some research would this model given the year be fitted with a 6 or 5 speed box?
Am i right in thinking that the year and model type should have been fitted with a 6 speed box and not a 5 speed box?
The spec for the car on the advert is as follows - 1996, P plate, 3000GT VR4.
I am in the hunt for a 3000GT VR4 after quite a few years in Supra ownership so could be interested in any that are available.
