Anyone recommend the best engine oil for my Mitsubishi 3000gt? Thanks
Assuming the car is standard, or close to standard, I would use a 5w-40 synthetic as the best option.

Out of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS/CFS NT, Motul Sport/300V, Red Line and Gulf Competition. The Motul 8100 X-Cess, Millers XF Longlife, Fuchs GT1 XTL/Supersyn, Gulf Formula G/ULE, Shell Helix and Mobil Super 3000 are good, cheaper alternatives.
As a budget choice, a 10w-40 will be fine and I would either go for the Fuchs Syn MC, Shell Helix, Millers Trident/EE Nanodrive, Castrol Magnatec, Mobil Super 2000 or Motul 6100
ThAnkyou soo much … Great help mate . Much appreciated
I went with evil empire @gsxrkid sent full service kit for gearbox and engine oils and I did search before and found reasonably priced and not bothered about a few pennies when it comes next day all sorted job done
I have used valvoline semi synthetic for many, many years now.
10w 40 durablend
Reasonably priced, and well suited to the engine.

I used silkolene ( Fuchs ) for years but being forged and evidently broken lol my engine always used a fair bit of oil , that in itself was a pain come top up time as the silk was mail order only so I either needed to keep loads or order when needed , next time around I will be doing similar to @Marty_K , that way at least oil is always accessible , frequent changes is important anyway

Mine always gets oil and filter every year.
Even if I have only done a few hundred miles, like this year!
Buying decent oil at £20-25 for 5 litres makes that manageable.

Same myself , used to average 2 changes a year plus normally a litre or 2 top ups through the year , as can be imagined that became rather costly , i dont like mixing oils , well i do in the van when i can be bothered to check it . as long as its changed regularly as Marty says any decent grade oil should be fine , obviously Tescos , Asda etc own brands i wouldnt class as decent , get a decent oil filter though and prime the filter with oil before fitting , makes a big difference when you first crank it over you are not starving the engine while you are filling the filter
