Do you know what the difference is between these and not MR cams?

No, sorry

Paul

Interestingly enough i just had a look with various Vin numbers i have and the MR has different Exhaust Cams NOT inlet cams to the standard MK2 GTO

I have no idea what the difference is…All it tells me is Part Numbers NOT lift and duration !!!..lol

Interesting though !!!

You any good with a degree disc and a dial gauge Paul

Cheers Rob

This would be a very interesting question to get answered.

All the info you need is in there.

Part numbers do correspond with the GTO’s…

Marty

Yes Marty i forget there is a mine of information on jeff’s site…

Cheers Rob

I think I read somewhere that the MK1 GTO TT’s have higher lift.
I am putting mix and match cams in My re-build 264 inlet & 272 Exhaust.

The relevant marking for the cam is on the hex part. From memory MK2 later cams are marked J and N. Mk1 cams had slightly higher lift (0.5 mm on the cam lobe) - don’t confuse that with better performance as Mitsubishi likely changed it cause they messed something up!

Would be interested to see what the hex markings are on these MR cams. I would be surprised if they are different to MK2 cams. If they are I will take them.

James

these do indeed have J and N on them, i have another spare set in the loft i will have a look at the markings on them!

the cams in my heads at the moment are from a mk1 and are stamped up D and V.

good for an exchange set??
