About time i said hi!

figured its about time i came on here, had my gto about a year now, needed lots of tlc, nearly finished (finally).

its turbo-free sadly but ive ideas on fixing that down the line :stuck_out_tongue:

looking forward to a meet hopefully in the not to distant future, not that ive seen too many out my way (norwich).

Kev. (p.s. will drop a pic shortly)

Too late, we need piccies, no good coming on here and saying I’ll pop some pictures up later. Only joking, get pics up before the hoard says pics are needed. Welcome aboard Kev, seems strange that I said it before the others
From what I can gather there are quite a few members from the webbed feet area of England, again only joking, you’ll find that a lot on here.

A GTO non turbo is still a GTO and on here no-one takes the cough-iss, my best mate has a non turbo auto and was amazed at how welcome the club made him feel.

while i have your attention though lol, im doing my exhaust ect soon and want to replace all the old nuts n studs in the outlet manifold, can anyone tell me what size these are?

Yah a norwich boy welcome mate :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: where about are you not seen it around ? Inbox me be nice to see it

Welcome Kev. Don’t listen to these guys, us turbo lads WILL take the p**s… constantly, but its all in good humour. Looks like a lovely car. If you are thinking about turbo-ing an NA engine then the guy to speak to is called Elton. His name on here is something like Fastbikes although I can’t tag him for some reason. He has done it twice I believe with amazing results.

You cant tag Elton because he was banned from the club.

thanks for the welcomes! i had actually been thinking of trying a supercharger instead of turbos, just to be different, but this is all way down the line, ive other plans for her first lol.

Supercharger would be pretty cool. Twin centrifugals? Or a massive Roots on top like the V8 boys? haha. Would look very unique coming out the bonnet sideways! haha

i would inbox you but i cant work out how! lol

not sure yet, im still learning about it all but this…

looks like a good way to go

Just hit my name then it says message :+1:

Superchargers have been fitted before within the club. They sounds awesome, it is a way to go. I looked at converting a na to turbo, started and realised it just easier cheaper to just buy one. Did not really see the point, the supercharger is a good option and nice to have something that’s different. If more information was available at the time this is the route I would have.

Cheers,
Neil.

He’s local I will convert him won’t take much 1 spin round the block should do it lol :eyes::+1:t3:

Nice! Basically remove the extra length of intake runners and bolt it to the standard plenum. Fairly clean install that.

really? i would love to see one super’d up close, yea in hindsight i should have got a turbo, but ive spent so much on this one now it seems a shame to part with it just yet lol.
