So, my insurance is up for renewal on the 16th January. Admiral quoted me £1054 to renew this year, as I am back to using the car as a daily driver and got rid of my second vehicle.
I wanted to get it under the £1000 mark, so I shoped around a bit. Few comparison sites later I found insurance at £971 with a company called Flux Direct (subsidiary of Adrian Flux). So, I decided to give Adrian Flux a call. They quoted me £995, underwritten by Markerstudy but the big advantage was they are going to allow me to drive any vehicle third party! As many of you know I am young, 23 years young to be precise, and almost every company I have spoken to tells me I have to be 25! So, I ripped their arm off. Also, this is with all modifications declared whereas previous they were a white lie.
So, thanks Adrian Flux for quoting me happier! I’ll be truely happy when it’s sub £500 a year.
I think that a good price given your age. I pay £500 fully comp on mine with unlimited mileage, can drive other cars and all mods declared and I’m 35 in 3 months
Marker study seem to underwrite a lot of the modded policies, I claimed off them once, that was fun. Went to the fsa in the end even got awarded compo, not that you have any control who the broker gets the policy under written by of course.
Need a quote on mine if i can ever get it running. Whats best a classic policy or use a ncb. The car is a 1994 gto tt import. I have a spare ncb with 10 years on it.

Hi,
I’m glad we at Adrian Flux could help out.
Regards,
Dan.
Wasn’t taking the p1ss Steven,
Thought Gavin was winding you up as the guy from AF put up a post and I got the wrong end of the stick, my sense of humour I’m afraid
He was on the wind up a bit, I don’t know I have any coming either. Gavin and myself are big Sunday drivers of our cars, going round enjoying the scenery
So, it is insurance time again. This year after some digging around and speaking with the lovely people at Adrian Flux again I’ve managed to get a good deal, in my eyes. I was a little annoyed that my renewal price was almost double what I have ended up paying, which shows that Adrian Flux don’t actually dig for you before you unless you ask.
So after doing online comparison and finding a price I rang Adrian Flux who guarantee to beat your quote and this year I have paid £684.99. This is for a fully comprehensive, unlimited mileage, driving other cars third party (bare in mind I’m 24 and most policies only allow this after 25), with a add-ons (included in the price) to cover the £500 excess (drops to £250 on my 25th birthday, informed it would then cover two accidents should I have them) and cover the first £20,000 on cars lent to me (so effectively fully comprehensive on other’s cars, unless it’s worth more than £20,000).
I don’t think this is too bad, though I am sure others will disagree.
