Ive been reading the other posts on Flux insurance and there are a lot of for & against issues, so i thought i would let you all know what a good deal i got with them.
Im 24, 6 yr ncb, cat 1, in medium crime zone and im paying £1600 on a 1993 mk2 gto tt, and that is with legal protection and protected no claims, although ltd mileage to 5000.
This was by far the best quote i had recieved, everyone else was saying i got to be over 25 or quoting me phone no’s to pay.
Although it was a 9 month policy and I transfered it from my VTS which I’d had for 7 months of it leaving me around £800 to pay and its now insured until Jan. It is pretty steep, but last year I had a Corsa 1.6 with the alloys and exhaust declared… £2,000!!! So tamponesque chavwagon or a 3.0 Twin Turbo for 600 quid extra, you know its the right choice
Im with tesco all mods declared- im 23 5 years ncb, 12000 miles per year, cat 1 with tracker and i live in bexleyheath which is in the top 10 worse places in the uk for car theft and im paying £1342, the tracker was only £300 for the service to go on forever!
The tracker was on the car when i got it, they say that they can only do the lifetimes subscription to the tracker if you had the tracker fitted- your ment to sign up straight away i guess but the woman on the phone let me do the lifetime thing anyway!
There are a few places around your way that can do trakers, i’ll get the numbers of them, what traker and sub package i have and send it all in a p.m on monday/tues!
Adrina Flux just sent my renewal quote through at £1480 WTF  are they playing at? I only paid £750 last year and have already got quotes of sky insurance at£400 odd…
my wife was rear ended on the a127 last week and she is with elephant, i moved to flux because i wanted freedom to make some mods.
anyway her car is an uneconomical right off.
read what i have to say carfully as this has implications for you gto guys who have cars of a lower value.
if the damage comes to more than 60% of the cars market value, your insurance is canceled, imeadiatly with no refund, (even if the car is still drivable, possibly leaving you without transport) and the car will be taken from you and you will recieve market value for it. (after a bit of hagling).
elephant do not offer buy back, its against their policy, and they give you some crap about an agreement with the MOT.
now the bit about insurance canceled, if you younger guys have paid £2000 for your insurance and you are just one month in, you will loose £1900 insurance.
this is because elephant agrees that the insurance will pay you the market value of the car (like life insurance) once the car is dead the remaining years policy is forfited.
if the accident is proved to be not your fault , and the driver at faults insurance settles, then you will recieve a refund for your remaining policy, but not if its your fault, and not until the claim is settled.
i will post this as a seperate subject in this forum, but thought it relevant to highlight this issue with elephant/admiral here. shes moving to flux on her new car.

flux did the same to us a really great deal the first year and it nearly trebled on renewal.
now with elephant but looking at the above post might have to check my small print …although all mods have been daclared.

They are a bunch of to**ers in my humble.
They had my business last year but are they hell as like this.
I was expecting a drop in insurrance for my GTO with Flux, i was turning 25, i moved to a lower crime area, and had a second car…but still they wanted £1,500! TPFT, called Sky and got it fully comp for £740 unlimited miles 8)
