This year we have decided to not book a set evening meal, to give more freedom to the members in deciding where the would like to eat, and budget accordingly.

Order of the Day

Meet & Greet in the Hotel Bar at 12 Noon
Annual General Meeting - 1pm-3pm (approx)
3pm onwards - Eat, Drink, Chew the Fat and be Merry
4pm Ten Pin Bowling at

http://www.tenpin.co.uk/coventry/

and maybe we can book this

As well as meeting up with friends and having a good time, please remember, this is YOUR platform to discuss YOUR club, vote on club issues or changes and voice your opinions and ideas should you wish to, so please make every effort to attend.

Once the formalities are over, this becomes a very social event for members, wives and partners, where we can all kick back and enjoy, what over the years, has become one of the best GTOUK meets of the year.

Nearer the time we will be inviting you to propose ‘Items for the Agenda’ so get your thinking caps on - and don’t be afraid to speak up.

If you could post on here if you will be attending, as it’s always good for others to see who is going, people you may have spoken to on the forum but never met and would like to, and here’s your chance.

Many thanks for Tracie for arranging this

Simon

Good one Tracie, needless to say myself & Diane will be attending yet again & looking forward to meeting up with everyone again & will get some practice in for the Ten Pin bowling

Julian.

I’m up for this one and fingers crossed the TT should be on the road by then
Might be cheaper for me to catch a taxi home though than pay for the Hotel

It’s in the diary! You never know, the white car might even be my chariot for the weekend!

André

We also be attending in aprill. Looking forward to see you guys

The plan is to come along and possibly catch a taxi home

I personally am hoping for a good turnout to this meet from the members .

It is the only real platform we have to decide how the club / forum is run .

If you can make it guys it would be appreciated , As with most of the committee who give our time up Tracie has worked behind the scenes to get this set up again .

Cheers

Craig

PS i will be nagging about attendance for all the upcoming main events, so get used to it

I have pre-booked Frankie & Bennys for 6.30pm Saturday night, they have a wide variety of choices, so there should be something for everyone who wants to go, menu here http://www.frankieandbennys.com/menu/main

I will need to confirm final numbers nearer the time, so please make sure you have your name down.

We can also pre-order food if we want to, which will save some time, but we can think about that at a later date. Personally I think it wold be a good idea, as it proved to be quite chaotic at Pizza Hut this year when we just all arrived em masse without doing so.

For those that don’t know, it’s only a stones throw from our hotel and bowling, so easily walking/staggering distance

Tracie

Frankie & Benny`s is a brilliant ideas, like you say something for everyone taste & budget, I like everything i have ever eaten there so promise the only place i will throw food will be towards my mouth

Julian.

Sounds great. Last years AGM was brilliant. Had a smoking room and all.

Mc Donald’s was over the road and afore mentioned places a couple of minutes walk away too. Had a great time.

Would love to attend this event, but will have to see how I am bearing up a bit closer to the time. Hopefully we can be there again this year.

I would strongly urge as many people as I can to attend this event. It is where your voting towards how this club is run that counts. You are also guaranteed a fun day and evening, that goes without saying really.

Dee.

I’ll be there.
Enjoyed last year very much, and liked the bowling, and the pizza.
Marty

All booked up for the AGM, see you there

At long last it looks as if may be able to make the AGM

look forward to seeing you all there

frankie

booked, see you there.

All booked now.
See you all then.
Marty

As we are planning bowling late afternoon for those who want to go, followed by a bite to eat at Frankie & Bennys here’s a bit of useless information for those who haven’t been before and don’t know the area.

Walking distances taken from Google maps:-

Hotel to Bowling - 8 minutes

Bowling to Frankie & Bennys - 3 minutes

or for those who don’t go bowling

Hotel to Frankie & Bennys - 10 minutes

Of course these timings may need to be doubled/tripled for those who are walking side to side, or one step forward to steps back, not mentioning any names of course…

Hope to see some more names down soon guys, it may seem a long way off yet, but remember we only have a certain number of rooms saved and there are other larger events on at our hotel that night, so don’t miss out.

Tracie

Would like to come as Coventry isn’t that far from me compared to other meets…but all depends on whether the car is sorted by then so if there’s any spaces left at the end I will probably take one if possible

Although I’m guessing places will all be filled soon at this rate :stuck_out_tongue:

You don’t need to be in the GTO.
Obviously most will be, but some will not.
I was in my 206 last year! lol
GTO this time though!
Marty

Yes but it’s either the GTO or the company van…I don’t think work will be happy that I went to Coventry in it :stuck_out_tongue:
