Mick & Tracey Walter ( @Longpig @Skippy69 ) live in Huntingdon Dave, so I’d imagine they’d be doing the A14 to Coventry, could be interested in meeting up along the way.

Always in Huntingdon as I have fam and friends there. A couple of gto s are always parked near a mates house.

OK let’s see if we can go with these following pick ups and get a convoy of noise and pollution from the south East into Coventry…do these suit people ? Will work out timings taking into acount breakdowns and predicted weather.

I really feel for you and feel like it’s my ■■■■■■ fault pointing it out to you in the first place, just hope it’s not too serious when they do get to it.
Its nothing to do with your advise @DavePerky if anything its my fault for not getting the 60.000 mile service done as soon as i got the car,it was my first to do list regarding mechanicals but i got tied up in tarting her up and thought as it wasnt being driven there was no hurry,i was told it may even have been the daily bonnet slamming that made the tensioner slip and boy did i do that alot over the month iwas doing my thing,ive been saving hard so im ready for a huge bill,it may turn out that when the timings reset it starts,best case senario,then i can get the 60.000 mile service done there n then,pay the pick up cost and initialtiming set up and jobs a good un,if not then we shall go from there im feeling positive now,i intend i making this car as good as i can get it whatever it takes.

Tbh I’ve not had that done but my engine was done 20k ago but you still clinch your arse cheeks and pray then you floor it. Mine was cheap and a nightmare doesn’t seem to matter what gto you buy there will always be problems best way is to do it all then you know it’s good.

Im not either @jensen360 but ill go in the ford anyway as i like to be able to naff off as and when,cheers for the offer though mate but its a wierd one,if i cant go in my own gto i wont go in any,if that makes sense.Still hook up for a drive down though with you and the others.

I know what you mean Scott. I’m disappointed not to be going in my new gto to be honest. Will be good to drive down all together though. I was going to meet at Huntingdon, but will go Kettering with you if you want, then join the others. We can drown our sorrows with coffee and swap stories of our gto problems.
