This year has seen a decline in membership numbers, personally I feel its down to the economic climate. We all know how tough it is to keep these cars on the road.
What I’m asking for is for everyone to try and get to the last main event of our year “The AGM”
Unfortunately Dave (Lord Snoot) was going to organise this but due to personal circumstances he has had to step down on this occasion
Julian has come forward and said that he would be happy to organise this. Anyone who has ever been to an event organised by him, will tell you how much of a success they are and this will be no different.
This is Your Club so come along and have Your say and have a great time to boot.
Any topics for discussion will be welcomed and another thread will be posted for that later.
Steve has made a valid point there regarding membership and the AGM
I have put some ideas forward when i first took over the membership role and have done a bit of fact finding to get some info from ex members . as a committee we have come up with a structure that will hopefully see us regain some ex members and also swell the ranks of new people .
There is still an increase every month of new people which we all are grateful for 8)
the coming year though we need to get more people involved and joining if we can , whether that be by good promotion of the club or by getting more local meets off the ground so everyone feels part of the club , we all need to pull together .
The agm would be great if we can get the membership there , the more the merrier thats the point we all have our say , by proxy votes arent really going to work , get yourselves there these cars are for driving , easy to say hard to do i know in the current climate im not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination and fuel in my car is a luxury but certain meets need good attendance otherwise the club will wither and fold , fact
My Partner and I are keen to get involved and indeed attend as many meets as work commitments will allow us .
It is all new to us but if you ever think we could be of any extra assistance we will be happy to help out.

I for one would of been quite happy to pay the old £20 membership fee to just browse the forum …I had payed membership for quite a few years and not demanded anything in return. Maybe food for thought??

I think there are three main club events of the year. The AGM is one of them.
The AGM has always been a well attended meet and has always turned out to be a brilliant week end.
The hotel has been well frequented by GTOUK and has been nothing short of excellent. Also a very easy drive as it is only 1/4 mile off the M1.
I would urge everyone to put their name down for this event, especially if you have not attended a GTO AGM before. You will not be disappointed. Lel and I have always had a great time meeting members old and new. It is a very friendly, jovial and laid back atmosphere.
