just asking if anyone else on here has a quad ?
I have a Yamaha blaster slightly modified
+75mm on the front
+100 mm on the rear
swing arm extended by 125mm
twist throttle
the extra width on the front and rear totally transforms the quad so much more stable and stops the thing turning over when being ridden hard round tight corners also when drifting as long as you keep it nailed it will just carry on sliding and not spit you off ,great fun
and extending the swing arm ensures the thing is capable of steering when accelerating in the lower gears as when I got the thing it was impossible to steer as the front was lifting and so light it just went straight
ive also converted the rear brake to the left side
smallest possible sprocket on the rear and 2 teeth larger on the front this has increased the top speed a little but has had no real detrimental affect to the lower end as its a very punchy little motor although its only 200cc its very fast and is easily as much power as you need off road certainly enough to get you in trouble if your not careful
ide like to add there is no general chat for posting this type of topic or am I missing something ?
Matey when you start a post theres a drop down box for which section you want it in ie general has subsections such as lounge newbie etc , or if you click on the tab by your profile on the right hand side that will show you all the sections , click one then start new topic.
It only takes a short while playing with the site and your soon up to speed , have a look for @DeanMarkTaylor posts as he does a lot of tutorials with video clips imbedded
Back to the original post, my brother has a 250cc road legal buggy. Heād had it one day and rolled it, which also broke his arm. So, itās still off the road. Once heās fixed it up Iāll grab some pictures.
hi steve I had a 400cc bugy before the quad this wasnāt what I really call off road as its size was limiting where I could go so sold it and bought the quad I will put some pics up laters
