This is a MK1, so doesnā€™t come with folding mirrors :wink:

Even gripoā€™s P or R reg (not sure exact year) Mk2 3000GT doesnā€™t have folding mirrors. Not sure if it was an option or they never got them!

I dont think they had then in the states either some of the members on 3si have fitted gto folding mirrors only to realise that the right and lefthand ones are designed differently so they cannot see anything in them.
Although last post I saw someone was going to try and mod some.

I have a 1994 UK spec 3000gt (one of the last registered before the Mk2 came along) - it only sold in 1 version in the UK spec (tt), and did not have folding mirrors. Mine is totally stock (aside from a replacement cat-back system). Non of the UK spec cars have a wing mittor fold button - it wasnā€™t even an option on the UK spec cars. I also have the original UK spec owners manual that came with the car.

And it is true that there are very few UK spec Mk1ā€™s on the road these days.

Dave, I need a few parts (mostly stockpiling spares) please pm me with prices for any of the following that havenā€™t alrady been promised:

  • transaxle (with all gears)
  • bonnet heatshield & clips
  • bonnet light (clip and wires)
  • wiper spray nozzles
  • battery tray / tie down clip
  • cardboard/carpet boot tray liner
  • the 2 small semi-circular interior clips (between the upper air-con dash and lower gear dash)
  • ECS struts / caps
  • windows control box (inside of driverā€™s door)
  • front (white) reflectors
  • wing mirror shrouds (will take full sets in necessary)
  • front lower bumper
  • cruise control ecu/relay
  • trinkets box (behind gear lever, cupholder not necessary)
  • rear wiper button/motor unit
  • toothed aerial (top part only preferably)
  • the kidney shaped cover for the venturi skirt
  • venturi motor and operation bar

I also need bits out of the engine (a couple of specific pipes - will be posting a new thread to identify what is now missing)

(my sister lives/works in Harrogate so I can visit her and collect at the same time, cash! - and would be happy to bring other bits down towards Sheffield/Nottingham for others to collect from my place to save them all travelling up - dependant upon size of items!)

Do you have the :-
front side light units
Front indicator units
both headlight plastic surrounds
Crankshaft pulley

Any or all would be great!!

All parts are still available. As i havenā€™t sold a thing yet :slight_smile:

The final strip down is tomorrow this will leave the car as a bare shell ready for crushing.

I will start posting up items next week all going well.

Sad to hear of another MK1 3000GT heading for the crusher!!
I will definitely have all the front light units ( sidelights, indicators, headlights) if that makes it simpler and also the front aero tray if its in good nick?
