As you can see its not been used for long but my son bought it and just after he blow his engine
on his car and needed money to replace it… I bought it of him but never fitted or used it myself…
but he told me it was it was basically what you said…
As well as being a crossover its like a graphic equalizer only it concentrates more on obtaining
the best from out of your sub and does allot more than you would get from just using the head
unite.
My thoughts when buying it from him was if it didn’t do anything much different than a head
unite can give you there would have been no point in Sony making a unite like this especially
when pricing it at much the same price as an average head unite can be bought for.
All I can say is that my son has always been more into ICE than he is the mechanical side of his
car… hence the reason for his engine going… think its the third engine I’ve had to put in for him…
he definitely wouldn’t have bought it originally unless it improved his audio system.
Its for fine tuning… Basically you have some settings like these on your amps…
But say you wanted to run some things of 1 big amp like speakers subs etc…
this will individually set the right frequency levels to each speaker so you wont blow coils, and get the best SQL sound quality level…
So all in all if your after perfect sound quality and a longer life these equalizers have what you need…
and whatever frequencies you need… go to your speaker manufacturer site find your speaker and look for the right frequencies then set it on your Amp/ crossover network etc…
