I see people on here getting quotes for £200 odd which seems great. I keep getting quoted around the £900 mark, this year it’s £942. I have six years no claims, no convictions and I’m 28 now, I feel like I’m getting a bum deal with Adrian Flux. Is there a good reason I appear to be paying through the nose for my insurance?
I have a multi car policy with Admiral, I paid £1200 this year for both my GT and a 307. About £650 and £550, there are no milage limits and I am 22 with 6 years of driving 2 years no claims and 3 points.
Sounds like they are mugging you
Maybe it’s your postcode
I went from £ 945 two years ago with sky to £ 436, with footman James on a classic policy with limited mileage (2000/year) and I’m 29 now so maybe give them a ring.
Thanks for the tip, just called Footman James and was quoted £224, bye bye Adrian Flux!
Wow that is a big saving for you
Neil
Thats cracking news it pays to shop around. Adriun flux came out the best price for us this year but then i beat their price with admiral then plumted for the multi car option
But remember if it’s a classic car insurance then you’re not covered to drive other vehicles. that’s what I was told by them anyway
They’ll be other exclusions as well… comparing against a classic policy is not comparing apples with apples… watch out for no commuting use, limited mileage, no NCB accrual etc
Result!
I got a good quote of Footman James again this year but they removed commuting so i couldn’t drive the car to work anymore, so i’ve changed to Elephant now, who were suprisingly competitive.
