Cheap Insurance?

How come all you guys are getting decent insurance quotes. I bought my 91 GTO NA last year and cheapest place i could get was through Adrian Flux who charged just under £1000 for fully comp. I am 34 and have 10yrs protected no claims, no accidents, no convictions, so what the hell is going on?

could be your postcode??

Simon

Just got my renewal quote from Osborne & Sons, at £445.
I rang them and haggled it down to £362!?!

No, Link @ Lloyds 8)

They must like you.

I’m with Osborne & Sons.

My renewal came through yesterday from Link at £620.

Highways said they could do it for £420 fully comp protected (still through Osbornes). So i called them and comfirmed the quote.

But the quote had been worked out for a standard car and mine is far from standard.

Dave

I do less than 5000 miles a year, have FULL no claims, as does 'er indoors, neither of us has any points
I have protected No Claims, and Full Legal Expenses cover.
£150 excess. 8)
(I am 55,decrepit,and drive around at 3 MPH!?! (yeh right?)

Got mine with highway. Im 31, 7 years no claims ,2 accidents in the last 5 years (no claims bonus was protected at the time) and 3 points - 560 quid fully comp.
If you havnt tried already then try www.confused.com They take a few minutes to search through a whole heap of companies then give you a list starting with the cheapest quote.

I do agree though that your postcode is a big influence. My mate at work has had some ridiculous insurance quotes in the past and figured it was due to his post code (Middlesbrough) so just to test the theory he got an internet quote for his car (volvo t5) using all of his correct details but my postcode and the quote came back 250 quid cheaper than his existing premium!!
