unfortunately both UK and Jap inport cars are group 20 insurance, so it is hard to find insurance for younger drivers, have you tried giving Sky Insurance a call, they appear to give better quotes than most on these cars

My Son paid £2400 last year for his 1.4 Polo (17).
Just renewed after 1 year no claims for £1200 (now 18 ).
