Couldn’t make the Xmas do this year as my own Co. do is the same weekend in Brighton. As it’s mine and my brothers company we have to be there.

Good job your not in charge of the Finances @Steven_Smith, Christmas Cards only become economical bought in bulk buddy. With possible changes in the committee each year it doesn’t make sense to get the signatures pre-printed, as they could quickly become out of date.

For each member to physically sign them the Club incurs substantial costs in postage sending them around the UK.

But hey, I guess there’s no pleasing some people.

They were all hand signed last year weren’t they?

I’m not saying I am displeased by the card, was merely pointing out that the personal touch of each signature definitely added to the “family” feel of the club for me.

The biggest problem this year was he cards were changed from the old ones quite late in the year and normally the committee get together at JAE and sign the lot, but they weren’t designed/printed or delivered until much later after that (little inside knowledge )

One of the things I was never happy about wad sending out cards with ec committee members names on that people didn’t know, I pushed that the cards should be “from the committee” and not personally
signed as this facilitated the logistical and time consuming problem of getting them signed and also the problem of having a change in committee members. I can speak from experience that sitting in the marque at JAE signing 150 Christmas cards when you want
to mingle and enjoy yourself isn’t much fun.

Anyway thanks to Steve and Tracy for getting these to your door , I did the job for the past 5 years and its always rewarding when a few people moan , makes the task seem worthwhile. Thankfully most people are happy to get one
