Christmas bash dinner

It’s a long day.

Last year a lot of people met up around mid day at “The Anchor” A small pub on Station Rd, about 1 mile from the hotel.

The bar man was pleased to see us all, but was expecting a quiet day and hence given most of the staff the day off.

I thought that it was a lovely place and did some great meals that didn’t cost the earth.

So: Does anyone fancy meeting there again this year at around 12:30pm? If you do, then please post up your names and I will ring and fore warn the pub roughly how many will coming.

The pub car park opposite holds about a dozen GTOs going on last years photos. 8)

Hi Dejay
sorry bud but looks like my car wont be ready by then as needed to order parts from Japan. (oil feed lines for turbos) - although mine look fine it’s £20 piece of Sh*t alloy pipe that has put me here so not taking the risk and therefore odering new ones

Hey. No need for apology Paul

Just thought there may be a few more people attending this year as it turned out a ■■■■■■ good place for dins, so I would give the bloke a nod to say he may need a hand on the day … Maybe not tho. By the replies it looks like he’s gonna be just fine on his own. Best I just leave it be.

Dee.

Sounds great to me count me and the other half in please  . Weve both booked the day off so can take a casual drive over and looking forward to meeting you all.
Thanks Jackie

Rang the pub tonight. It is under new ownership. They say that it is no problem (But thanks for letting them know)

Opening hours are 12:00 to 15:00 and they will be pleased to see as many as we can squeeze in.

See you all around mid day then! 8)

Dee.

Just to say Lel & I will not be doing the Anchor now. We are instead setting off from home early afternoon and going straight to the hotel. Hope everyone has a good lunch before the onslaught

Dee.

Might be worth a courtesy call to the landlord if this is the general consensous Dee.

To be honest Tracie. When I rang up I said there may be 10 or so people turning up. The pub has changed hands and they didn’t seem particulally worried, just said how ever many on the day turn up they will be fine serving meals and didn’t take any booking, so I will probably just leave it.

Dee.

we are still going to the pub, we hope to be there about 12.00 ish.
Light snow forcast so hopefully it will be ok.

Is anyone else still going? I’m still up for it, just let me know by 11:30 am tomorrow
