got the insurance forms through today after payin for this on friday on my card … seems im insured to drive a ‘gallant’ not a GTO …
… after phoning them all i got was ’ we dont insure imports ; you should have not been quoted for this car and thus must not have informed us of the exact detailes of the car’ :shock: <-----explicit language removed----> have to phone them tomorrow to see what the crack is and to see how long it will be until i get my money back … yes im poor and can only aford £700 in insurance every 2 weeks :? guess my baby is off road until this is sorted <----- more explicit language removed---- > :evil:
If I was you, when you ring tomorrow, I would DEMAND you get your money back within the day, it is possible, if I pay something over the phone on Switch it comes out of my account the next day, so surely it can work the other way.
Tell them you need the car for your job and if you have to hire one, you will send them the bill.
I work for a building contractor and when one of our employees accidentally dropped a scaffold pole bolt on a woman’s car, she used this tactic, we sure got it repaired quick!
Seriously, dont let them fob you off, you know you you didnt say Galant, as if :roll: its their mistake and they must sort it immediately.
Most of the time these phone calls are “recorded for training purposes” tell them to check what you said.
It will be as simple as their operator has ticked the wrong box on the screen, but the have to realise that and sort your money out.
Best of luck, but dont take “NO” for an answer, and certainly dont wait longer than a couple of days for your money.
