Classic Car Insurance?

Maybe a non-starter, but someone asked me whether I had my GTO TT on classic car insurance?

Is this a possible option? Has anyone else tried or maybe already have their GTO on classic car insurance? What’s the definition of a classic car? What are the limitations (if any) of having a vehicle on this type of policy?

Soo many questions, sorry; it’s just really got me thinking now??.

Anyone got any advice?

Cheers

I know there are a few members with classic car insurance but policy details and requirement very from company to company.

The best thing to do is shop around, or use a broker.

depends on who you phone

basic requirements are normally

limited mileage
valuation of car
photos of all angles including engine bay interior & boot
cat 1 alarm
membership no. of any car club
mileage on the spedo when you take the policy out

I personally went with footman james @ £210 a year

42 yrs young
full ncb
2 cars in the household
parked off road overnight
cat 1 installed
me & the missus access both cars

mart

Me too. Footman James, was 37 when I was last insured on it, 6 points and 3000 miles limit per year. Was about £350 ish.

Footman James said they wouldnt insure me because I have 6 points. I’m sure insurance companies just make it up as they go.
