Huge thanks to Dave for arranging this BBQ… It was fab and we had glorious sun to compliment the good company…

All in all a decent turn out with 10 GTO’s lined up 8) .

Nice to have meet some more newer memebers, as well as some older ones too that i haven’t met.

Thanks guys and looking forwards to the next one.

Yes. Thanks for organising this event Dave.

We really enjoyed ourselves. It was a great afternoon. Both returned home sunburned. 8) Was a lovely pub and great parking/scenery.

Nice to meet people old and new. Hope everyone got home safely and in particular that someone’s gearbox made it back to Gloucester.

Got some pics of the day. Not very good ones I’m afraid, but here we go.

Rob and Helen.

Dave thanks for a great BBQ and thanks to the chief - well worth the 200 mile round trip. Perhaps the same again next year? again thanks to everyone their and looking forward to meeting you all again - at the JAE point to note aany person who has not been to the JAE with the club is missing something. Again thanks Peter & Gill

Thanks to you all for making us welcome at our first meet

We made it back to Gloucester (last night) no problems at all, it was a nice drive, probably an expensive one with fuel, but hey

Looking forward to JAE and catching up with you then.

Ify and Lor

Firstly thanks to one and all for turning up, (that includes the sun) I am glad you all had a good afternoon.

A big thank you to Marty for turning up early and helping with the gazebo, these are definitely a 3 person job to put up!!!

And a HUGE thank you to Emma with out whom you would have had no plates, veg, serviettes, and meat. The BBQ I had in mind was grab and eat, this with hindsight would not have worked so Emma provided the finesse shall we say.

At the moment I can’t seem to upload my pics to photo bucket, I’m sure I saw alot a cameras around so hopefully a few more pics will be posted.

I will definitely organise this event for next year as everyone has given positive feed back.

Thanks to everyone for making this a great event.

Cheers

Dave

Okay got photobucket working…

Once again, thanks forthe great attendance.

Dave

Was a cracking weekend.

Will probably be late next year as my MOT will be due LOL. so you’re on your own again with that gazebo guys.

About 10 miles from home we were behind some bloke. He just pulled over and waved us past. Was a bit of spirited driving as we loomed over the hill behind him, but I did brake and was a good distance from his arse end.

Maybe it was intimidating having a GTO filling up your rear view? Don’t really know. I have never had that problem. 8)

We didn’t follow Niel & Sam back. Thought we would just do the 36 miles home that we needed to. (sorry Niel)

Dee.

Hey Deejay,

We actually got it right on the home :D.

Cheers,
Neil.

Many thanks to Dave for a brilliant BBQ, and all his hard work what a great place. Thanks also to Pinky who did most of the cooking.

It was good to meet members old and new, can’t wait untill the next one, well done everyone.

Bryan

Hey guys thanks for the apreciation for Emma. She just decided she would be the BBQ chief for the day and did a cracking job leaving us boys to comsume copious amounts of beer

Not at all… next year i will doing exactly the same !! 145ish each way from Kent… Pity you didnt make it earlier as i would have loved to oogle your car up close. It was gleaming away all the way from the top of that hill we passed on

It really was worth the drive… Not too many people there (around 15-20?) but Definately the right mix of peeps. Everyone was so chilled out and great company to talk too…Loved it.

363 days and counting

I am sorry I missed you Malc :frowning:

Catch up with you and your car  at JAE

Rich

Dave,
Thanks for time and effort that you put into the BBQ, outstanding day mate, got to be a must for next year. The venue was brill and the views were amazing. Top day mate

Emma,
What a star, stepped up to the plate, or should that be bbq and did an amazing job cooking the food and advising dave on the finer points of a bbq with such trivial things as plates, napkins and the fact that charcoal hands don’t look good when handling the meat and salad food.
Dave, never have i seen a melon cut with such precision mate  , who had the bit with the end of your fingers in it

Apologies to the guys i didn’t get to chat to before i had to leave, defo will next time.

Well took some pics so here goes,

I take it all 3 cars in the second pic were all TT’s having routine road side repairs

Bugger… shouldn’t have said that cos i drive a TT

Ps … enjoyed the VERY VERY scenic route Neil  :stuck_out_tongue:
