Will access be better than this year ? Dozens of cars queuing on the hill wasn’t fun, especially for those with performance clutches, which really don’t take well to about fifty hill starts to move ten feet every five minutes.

Mark.

we will have 2 gates next year and you will have a designated gate b4 hand.

Hi Paul,

Sorry in Sussex that weekend so can’t go.

J

I’m struggling for this as I’ll have both the kids but will probably go for a look around. If no-one else goes Paul do you want to meet up for a look around the show, if we do get a stand going then I’ll stop over and say hello of course.

I thought it was a bit naff last year, so I won’t bother this year.
A bit too set up for the Maxed up Brigade!!!

Well with 43 car clubs and 33 trade stands with almost 900 show cars on display come visit the Biggest Modified car show in the Southwest.

Sunday 27th July @ Exeter race course

Dont forget you have to be onsite NO LATER THAN 9am

opens to the public 10am Entrance fee £5 under 10s free

Well just in case mr Devon car shows looks on here !!!

I hobbled round today with my extra large foot  and my 12 yr old lad. Along with Paul (PAR) and his lad. on arrival paid my £10 for us two to get in and started looking around.

I have never seen so many nova’s, saxo’s and 106’s. Most of which look like any other car although some had taken theirr badge off to hide what make it was. There were a few and I mean a few nice cars there.

However my biggest problem is the way in which the show seamed to centre around a stage where there were a few things to look at. The things we saw were, pole dancing, a strip show ending in a number of ladies with just thongs on daning around and then some bloke being stripped and beaten by said naked girls until he bled for which he was given a stereo   (Max Mosley would have been proud)

So in short I’ve been to certain types of club that dont go as far as this so called car show. Dont get me wrong I’m more than happy to stare at naked women but not when I have my 12 yr old lad with me and its billed as a car show. I saw a fair few parents dragging their kids away from the stage so it wasnt just me.

So Devoncarshows, how about a car show next time not a strip show, and how about my £10 back

It was a toss up between going to the show or porting one of my cylinder heads. It seems that i made the right deciscion, just got to get the other head done now.
I’m more than happy to ogle naked or semi naked ladies but a car show is about cars and the bits which make them work or more importantly, go faster, handle better, look better etc etc.
If i want to look at a load of ■■■■■■ saxo’s, nova’s etc, i’ll sit at McDonalds for half an hour, if i can survive that long without feeling compelled to top myself.
There’s always next year.

Mark.
