Apologies @joseph689 I was talking to this guy at the same time as you i think thats what got me confused.
I had conversations with this seller and there were a lot of things I noted that needed doing, but the seller just waved this off and told me to go f**k myself. I would say totally avoid this car if possible. It was originally up for £5k, then £4.5k and now £4k. Just shows he can’t sell it to people who know what they’re talking about!

It just seems that rock bottom prices for the GTOs (or any performance Japanese car) attract these sort of chancers looking to make a quick profit.
I have no problem with someone trying to sell a car for 3k, 4k, 5k, 6k as long as they are reasonably honest about what issues the car has, all this “trust me m8, this car is a stunning example and fast as f**K like ferrari for mondeo money” does nothing but repels buyers and hurts the car’s image for the rest of us.
Totally agree. That car needs to cam belt and water pump doing as he has no idea when it was done before. He told me he had his mechanic look over it and said “it didn’t need doing”! As if im gonna trust your mechanic!
