Dorset Japanese Car Show – Sunday 2nd August 2009

Hi,

I am now able to update you with a couple of firm details!

The venue is booked and paid for so the event will be going ahead!

Due to a clash of dates with another Japanese show I have had to move the date for the Dorset Japanese Car Show.

The new and 100% confirmed and booked date is Sunday 2nd August 2009.

The venue remains the same as in previous correspondence, Canford Park Arena; I will forward full details to you in the very near future.

So far I have had around 50 clubs showing serious interest in attending so the show is shaping up to being a mini-JAE!

Please do feel free to contact me with any questions or queries or even if you have any ideas or ways you feel you may be able to help.

I very much hope that you will try and support this event and book a club stand to showcase your members cars as an unbelievable amount of planning has gone in to the show already and it promises to be a great day!

I don’t recall if I have mentioned this before but I nor any of my club staff will make any financial gain from the event and any profit that will hopefully be made will go towards making the event even bigger and better next year.

One thing I really need from you and your club now is an email address that I can use for all future correspondence as pm’ing via forums is VERY time consuming when dealing with just over 100 clubs!! (if I am already communicating via email ignore that bit!)

If you could reply to this message via email to [email protected] it would be hugely appreciated!

This promises to be a fantastic day out and as promised I will update you with more information as and when I can 100% confirm it!

If you would rather not hear anything more about this event then please email [email protected] stating which club you are from with the subject line: DJCS NO INTEREST.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and roll on August!!

Kind Regards,
Rob Edwards

Hello!

Well after much sweat and tears I can now confirm that the Dorset Japanese Car Show website is now online!

The website should contain all the information you need to know about the show and it will be continually updated with any news and information about the show.

Car clubs wishing to have a club stand will find all you need to know on the ‘Clubs’ page.

In an ideal world each car club will have a representative to organise their club and to bulk buy all the required tickets etc as a single point of contact makes my life so much easier! However I understand that this isn’t always practical and as such the option is there for your members to buy their own tickets online and state which club they are from.

You will find the full Terms and Conditions with the club booking form on the ‘Clubs’ page.

Interest is really hotting up with more clubs showing interest each day and I’m getting regular emails from new clubs I’ve not heard of enquiring about the show so it really is looking like it’s going to be a great day!

You can access the site at the following address:

http://www.dorsetjapanesecarshow.co.uk

If you have any questions or queries then please do not hesitate to email me. I may not respond until Monday or Tuesday of next week as I’m going away for a couple of days but I will reply to all emails as soon as I possibly can.

I look forward to hearing from you and receiving the completed booking forms.

Kind regards,

Rob

Update!

The show is getting bigger by the day so I thought I’d pop in and give you an update!

Loads of clubs have lists of names growing by the day and booking forms are coming in!

The Funfair is going to be a little bigger than expected with a few rides and amusements for both adults and kids including the ever favourite Dodgems!

Latest news is that there will be a professional stage with 4 or 5 live bands playing throughout the day!!

RE Worx will be bringing along their Dyno for power runs!

There will be a show & shine contest with lots of top prizes and trophy’s sponsored by Autoglym, Gem Grafix.& DS Automotives. Show & shine details and booking forms are all online.

The newly revamped Redline magazine will be covering the show and giving it a full magazine feature!

Also the event is now open to Japanese Bikes and will include a Bike catagory in the show & shine contest!

All of this will be in addition to lots of trade stands, great food and drink and much more!

Here are a couple of shortcuts to useful pages:

If you’re at Japfest I’ll try and get over to say hello and introduce myself!

If anyone has any questions at all about the event please feel free to drop me email and I’ll get back to you ASAP - [email protected]

Rob.

Come On! With 525 Views There Must Be More People Interested In Comming
Jeff.

**Come on you guys…

Looks like it could be a great day…

My last count in 09/10 members showed at least 15 or 16 in the Dorset/Devon/Wilts areas.

So… where are you all???

David**

NEW - Due to popular demand! If your club has fewer than 10 exhibitors then you will still be able to exhibit your cars at the show. In a slight change to previous plans there will now be a “Japanese Parking” area within the showground for everyone and anyone to exhibit their cars.

The ‘Japanese Parking’ area will be set within the showground and is open for anyone to exhibit their cars or motorbikes.

People purchasing tickets on the day may exhibit within the ‘Japanese Parking’ area but cannot reserve space within the area and space will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Advance ticket sales have also been extended until the 19th July 2009.

Also, if your club has booked a stand already and you want to be on it you can purchase tickets from the website below and as long as you state this club name where requested you will be added to the club stand.

Please visit the website and check out whats going on!! http://www.dorsetjapanesecarshow.co.uk

If you are contemplating this event but as per normal, intend to leave it to the last minute to book a ticket, forget it.
Every event that we either attend or try to attend we have the same reaction.
Sort your ■■■■■■ lives out and book a ticket !

Mark.

Clare and I will be down that way then, so put us down for two tickets.
