hi im looking for sum1 local to me as my gto is having problems and trying to figure out what the problem is we are thinking ecu and a fellow member on here suggested i come on here and ask if anyone local to me has an ecu they cud allow me to plug into my car to see if the issue is resolved to know if my ecu is okay or not please if anyone could help me id greatly appreciate it

You could always send your ECU away to the ECU doctor he is highly recommended on here , he will do a check on it .
we also need to know what year your car is and whether its a Twin Turbo or N/A so the correct ecu can be found

problem is i cud but i need my car to get to work mate if i send ecu away i will loose my job lol and its a 1991 non turbo

Post up the problem with the car someone might be able to suggest another reason for the fault with the car.
its hard to explain tbh as ive never owned a gto before and ive never even been in as a passenger before so performance wise i have nothing at all to compare to but way i see it these cars are a 3 litre sports engine yes mines the non turbo but from what people say even the non turbo shifts but mine a 1 litre will leave me standing i struggle even to overtake cars tend not to as its embarrassing tbh it just seriously no power at all u cant even accelerate off from 20 mph in 2nd gear without it shuddering like its gonna stall u gotta drop it to 1st gear
wanted to try another ecu to eliminate it once n for all but closest person i cud find was coventry he was speaking of posting me it to test n send back but i recon his mind changed in trusting doing so which i dnt blame him as he doesnt know me personally . theres the mod car show on at pickering this sunday looks amazing its posted on the facebook gto page i was hoping some fellow gto owners may attend wud have been good to meet gto owners see other cars compare to mine and if lucky maybe a model suitable to mine for ecu with an owner willing to spare me 10 mins to test it lol but dnt think any gto are going no one has contacted me n sed yes so far
