What sorta times will this happen? I see 7:30am in the title, will everyone have to be there by then? I’m normally quite the late riser on non-work days and wouldn’t be able to get out of bed by then, let alone to Guildford

I’m guessing we’ll have a printout from our run?

hi mate, yes there will be a printout, and also im not good at waking up early, it shud start around 9 and finish whenver the last person there goes.

hi there,
I will pop down on that day but my car won’t be ready by then but it will be in Ben’s garage, so would love to come and see the other cars on the Dyno.

no probs Malc  ,

any more takers? it is this Sunday.

Can I put my name down for this tomorrow?

I’ve just got my as yet un-trusted GTO re-assembled and taxed and it seems I’ve put it back together OK but I’m a bit apprehensive about giving it the full beans when I’m not sure what will happen! I figure it’s best to do this in a controlled environment and this day is IDEAL!

I’ll plan on setting off from oop norf about 9ish to get there about mid-day, I assume that’s OK?

Andy

That will be cool Andy, yeah, see you then!

Cheers,

Ben.

Awesome, see you about mid-day - assuming nothing goes horribly wrong on the way down!

will be alll Fine Andy  just a bit of rain thats going to be the problem.

If I wasn’t so far away I’d come down, but since I can’t good luck to all and I hope you have a good day.

Cheers,
Ewan

Where was everyone!?

I’m glad I continued the horrendous 200 mile drive as thanks to Ben doing a dyno run with boost logging and combined with my unwillingness to thrash my GTO which didn’t ‘feel right’ I’ve avoided a potentially fatal engine death by overboost. The first abandoned dyno run it started to shoot up past 1.1bar! My own solenoid was stuck closed, so we tried another solenoid but think the ECU isn’t pulsing it.

So I’m running on wastegate pressure only at the moment until I sort some alternative boost control - but still got 274.2bhp at 0.4bar, which I’m rather chuffed with!

Typical how the days either side of Sunday are sunny! Grr!

Thanks to all at Eurospec we are all learnig so much from these days Best wishes Phillip (Silver Surfer)

Baz Could you list the bhp for the gtos yesterday please Best wishes Phillip (Silver Surfer)

I can do this…

274.2bhp (me)
499.3bhp (non-GTOUK member)

 That’s all that ran on the day. Still, massive big up to Ben for still being up for it.

Well if you run one again after christmas let me know, me and my mate would be up for this (He owns a subaru P1).

Shame not many went but I hope this won’t disuade you from running another!!

Andy I take it that it is yours and Steves BHP figures Best wishes Phillip (Silver Surfer)

I can neither confirm or deny that the 499.3bhp figure was that of the person you mention but the 274.2bhp figure is DEFINATELY mine.

there were other cars and GTO’S that ran including a classic Rover SD1 3.9 v8 that got 200 bhp, but all i can say is that 499.3 is easily going to be over 500 very soon.

I Am going to organise one again, but unfortunatly it will be in January as everyones going to be skint on Christmas. hopefully will be more GTO’s then german cars.

Madluka, thanks for comming down mate. was great to you see i had a great day.

BAZ Did you not run your car. Best wishes Phillip (Silver Surfer)

Me and a mate are gonna pecil in the January Date’s. I’ll try and bend your will to place it on my off shifft.

GTO (me)

Subaru P1 (mate)
