The guy’s at the meet last year talked about having a karting event…i did try and organise one but didnt get much response…perhaps you could try you might get a better response than i did.
Also the girls talked about a weekend away…eg butlins or caister…Haven holidays were very interested in giving us a deal…let me know if you need any help.
The run out to Hunstanton would be an ideal opportunity for us Norfolk and Suffolk owners to tag along as would the Thetford Forest picnic. Being right out on the east coast we’re out on a limb a bit.
[quote]Another possible idea would be a monthly Sunday morning run.
The Essex & Kent members of PistionHeads do this quite often. Basically a blast around the ‘B’ roads of Essex.
For example:
Meet up early - 8.30am.
Rag it around the ‘B’ roads.
Finish for 10.30am, maybe taking in a spot of breakfast.
Anyone fancy this?

I’d love a regular sunday morning run in this area, or perhaps “crossing the borders” into Kent where i know some great roads too.
I regulary go on runs with the pistonheads guys (see my photo topic in the general section) but i would say a 8:30 start would be a bit late.
We usually meet up between 5 and 6 and 6 will then be the last final group leaving because only then the roads will be empty and you can stay together as a group. A couple hours later traffic wil start to set in and spoil the fun so i’d prefer a bit earlier start.
And will it just be for the local GTO owners, or was you thinking of inviting others along as well ? I’m sure if we’d organise a run and post it up on the pistonheads we’ll get a lot of other people/cars interested as well.
im up for a bbq, a run, beach party, dino day, and hell yes to karting. prob that us n/a drivers are just as quick as you tt if not better cos we are use to less power
