ECS ECU Reconditioned fully working SOLD

As title tested fully working reconditioned by me… perfect inside, parts replaced.

That’s a great job Dave, you must be the first to attempt that and succeed (apologies to anyone who has also carried this out).
From your pic, the Climate Control and ECU must be relatively simple - how have you faired so far with the Climate unit?

Nearly choked on my diode’s then… hell no… rover parts… made in the uk

What tends to fail on these? Capacitors? Just curious.

Caps and board damage, this one was good, depends on board.
Purchased another one that was “good working order” opened it and hell fire!
Went in the bin and got a refund… no it wasn’t black one either :joy:

Yep, I bought 2 “working ECS ECUs” of ebay and both PCBs were corroded badly, no amount of re-capping fixed it.

This is my own one, they are all normally fubard used due to being in the boot prob, some are very rusty.

Is it worth changing the caps on a working one, or wait until it fails?
