Engine gremlins

Hi,

I am happy i got my engine going however there seems to be knocking around 2k to 2.5k RPM which is worrying. It failed its MOT because of this :frowning:

Any suggestions? Is the engine stuffed?

any idea what kind of knocking and where from, ticking or thudding etc?

I need to inspect closer but it only appears around 1700pm and disappears past 3000pm. You can’t hear it much with the bonet down so going to open the tb from front so I can listen closer.

That deep rattle, aka the death rattle is most probably the bottom end :frowning:
