Error code 12 Excessive Small TPS output

Got an error code from the OBD tonight number 12 Excessive Small TPS output, could this be because I started it without airbox and MAF or could this be whats causing limp mode on gearbox
Going to try disconnecting battery tomorrow to try reset error
Any ideas please

You will get an error code from starting a car without maf connected
