Long weekend should be fine. Budget for me depends on the occasion/event.
Might sound daft, but we need an occasion/place to head for, rather than just driving all the time.
Definately need to be able to have a few beers and relax, should be fun not a slog!

Best make sure it’s near some good shopping town too in case anyone is bringing the missus.
If anyone is interested I have several chatteau that we could go to from the two Furball trips. The most beautiful place I visited was Annecy or we could stop over at a chateau in Beaujolais-Burgundy region. The chateau sits in 65 hectares of vineyards - the chateau produces it’s own wine - with cavernous, centuries-old wine cellars, gym, swimming pool etc . If interested I’ll post a link

The post the other day with the pics of trips to le mans etc looked excellent and that was years ago, about time there was another big event…
It won’t just ‘happen’ it needs someone or some people to step up and help organise it. This will require lots of interaction with our friends across the channel.

as with everything the hardest part is just agreeing the dates…then from there we can move on to accomodation, costs, venues, rally points etc…
