As per GleCar’s suggestion I think it may be a good time to get some rough numbers of how many people would be interested in doing a trip into Europe (exact destination would be decided closer to date I’m sure)
Some members have already shown interest in this, I personally think it would be a fantastic sight to see as many gto’s & gt’s & ex/current members in other cars going across the pond to see our friends and what they can do.
Now I have posted this thread with the intention of someone taking it over really as I’m afraid I cannot commit to spending much time organising the event itself (I have insurance to sort youy guys !!) however I will help any way I can.
I, for one, am in. How many others would be interested?

P.S This could take some time to organise so people start saving pennies now!!!
Now now, lets not get started on the wrong foot , happy thoughts everyone, happy thoughts.
Can’t do any harm bringing it out in the open from the other thread to gauge the general interest, much appreciated for volunteering for the organising side Mark.

You have obviously never seen me play football, I have always been on the wrong foot! - Or is that two left feet…
It’s all cool, I just did not see what was to be gained by jumping the gun!
Mark - your from Newcastle - Iv never ever seen anyone from your illustrious city play football either…
All together now …
"Have you ever seen a Geordie with a cup? Have you ever seen a Geordie with a cup? Have you ever seen a Geordie, ever seen a Geordie, ever seen a Geordie with a cup?
Have I F***"
That one’s quite popular down the Riverside. Tho to be honest neither team has much to be proud of this year.
If it was leaving from Newcastle I’m up for it - it would depend on dates obviously. Where exactly would we be going on tour? If it was another departure point then I would need to work it out.
I live in france , what would your interests be when or if you come over?
ie visiting a track ,seeing sites etc…
feel free to let me know i may have some good ideas!
for example where i live is the center of france , a town called montluçon , and about 60km from me is a private circuit called the “mas du clos”, it has the second largest collection of ferrari’s in the world!(if its still up to date)it’s also the volcaneous region of france.

PS I was born in luton , thats why the english is not to bad!!lol
well tell me what kind of things you’d like to see, if anybody has any special kind of wishes, what area’s your’e interested in , i might even be able to meet you, as my GTO now living in france was bought of a member!
With an event like this i think we need a very social meeting. Good accommodation, food and drink as a priority. It’s great to see other motors as they are the main reason of such a meet but i personally have no intention of sticking my head under more GTO bonnets than is necessary/polite to do so.
I’m sure that there will be plenty of people who want track type events.
That’s my feelings anyway.
I am trying to do mix style event at a location that will allow the track hungry people to have their fix but with a nice hotel very close by that will let us use their grounds and take over their bar!
Had a couple of suggestions on venue so far and some interest from some Portuguese owners too!
As soon as I have a set of options and dates ready I will post them up for people comments, suggestions and preferred dates.
