I know what your saying Allen. I thought there would be lots more interest than this.I think there’s only 4 of us at the moment that are definites. It is quite expensive though and we do live in the south of England. Although Ewan is coming (Chooch) and he’s in Aberdeenshire!!
I think there will be around 40 cars though from various parts of Europe
Seriously thinking about this, not sure if I would be running in the black one after the re-build or taking the red one. And the missis wont come so dont know whether to slum it in the camp site or hotel, what are others planing to do.
Gav your just trying to increase your shell points  I guess there will be plenty of shell stations on route but this would have to be mapped to ensure fill ups. A convoy down there would be impresive especialy if we meet up with the french lot, most of us could meet up at Dover and go from there.

I totally agree Jeff. Yves is still trying to get some deals on accomodation there which is actually VERY reasonable already. Ilan and me are making a weeks holiday out of it but not sure if we’re driving through the night on Wednesday or getting up at nobhead o’clock on Thursday. As soon as we’re decided though, I’ll try and put a convoy together for sure.
Guys this is shaping up to be a good event well done 8)
When i decided that i would go for the secretary role i did so with the intention of getting to as many meets as possible so the committee of this site would always be present at as many meets as possible , most meets seem to get covered by at least one comittee member as a rule
unfortunately a few things stop me from doing this meet ; funds , i have no passport and time away from the family would be difficult .
I hope you all have a great time and you will be ambassadors from GTOUK 8) sticker wise give me a shout whats needed and if you require banners etc then drop Julian a pm so we can kit you out

Appreciated Craig, I’ll definitely get back to you about that. Banner and poster wise, we’ll be OK as I can do that sort of thing at work but it would be good to have a bit of GTOUK merchandise kicking around as our logo is now on all the online adverts. We’ll be speaking to various car mags in the coming months too to try and generate a bit of attention from them too 8)

On the subject of mapping Shell garages, they do an app for the iPhone which tells you where the nearest station is and what fuel it sells. I’ve checked and it covers Shell garages in France too.

hi , me and my wife , a big poss for us,not sure if we will have to bring our kids though, if so will have to take in disney on way back as they have never been.
I’m still a “possible” however it’s looking less likely as the days get closer to the event and employment is not forthcoming, but if I do go, it will be with my wife.
