Thankfully I haven’t had to take my heads off and am replacing a slightly kinked turbo oil return hose which is what scuppered my running in the last event.
[quote]Please remember the club sub’ed the last event and paid for those that did not turn up and did not pay
If you arrange this again and the club is involved the booking will only be make when full payment from those, taking part have been recieved

I had to pull my car from the last event but I still went up and watched (Had a great day and also met some great people!).
I had no idea the event was sub’ed and was at no time informed that I was still required to pay anything.
I thought my place was taken by a reserve and everyone was happy.
I am quite principled about paying my own way for things in life and certainly do not wish to see the club out of pocket.
If monies are still due, let me know but please refrain from using evil smilies as I’m a sensitive guy and they make me sad!
On the first dyno run day, the club booked our ‘dyno day plus package’ meaning it got upto 10hrs of our/dyno time with a maximum of 15 cars and it could use it as it liked.
I think Ian re-charged people at £35 per head meaning that for the price of a ‘dyno shootout’ people got more of our time, tuning done if it was possible/wanted, diagnostic work done etc or whatever was more appropriate to the car. Obviously there was a spectrum on the day from straight power runs to bits of mapping, to diagnostics etc.
For those organising the second day, i dunno if you want to talk Ian about if the club would do the same again- i’m thinking from Simons comments that really they would be looking for deposits up front.
Do remember though that if you are doing complete remaps, it quickly uses up time, so it wouldnt be practical to bring 15 cars all needing remaps and get them done within the 10 hrs.
count me in please although I need someone to explain to me what strain if any is put on the engine please as I change gear at 2,000 revs … She is on over 130,000 miles on the original engine so needs to be treated with respect …
It’s more of a gentle run up to that kind of speed. Ben will monitor whats going on in the engine very closely, and will stop if there are any problems - which is of course what it’s all about, to see if there are any problems that can be seen before they become a real problem. In most cases, it’s a run up to those kind of revs, and stop, it doesn’t stay there.
Do not worry, Ben is an expert and really does know what he is doing, mine went on last time and I have separate problems because mine is so low and a bit longer than everyone elses so getting it up the ramp posed the first problem but it was no problem for ben then secondly I started to blow the spark out at a certain rev so ben stopped the run and did not push it but he knew straight away what the problem was.
As far as Ben is concerned :praise: and he has done a lot of work on mine. If you are going, you will see me there and know what I am talking about
