A few of us will meet up at Exeter Services at 11am this Saturday at the top end of the car park near the filling station. Everyone is welcome, none of us have met before so don’t hesitate to come and meet then drive on to Teignmouth sea front where special parking has been allowed to us on the promenade near the Beachcomber cafe.

No policy at all
We all put our locations up for that reason , go for it fella another meet getting off the ground will be good , Julian is our events co ordinator so if there is any advice or anything you need help with just ask

We get between 10 and 30 cars most months depending on weather and when is Payday !!!..lol
Dont move it around and always try to remember to post when you are having one… just like i dont !!!..lol
The Essex Meet has been running over 8 years now and is always well attended…
Just don’t get disheartened if some months if the turn out is low

There are three of us so far and a few others who might be able to come along. Considering its short notice and just came out of discussion, there has been reasonable interest. I didn’t realise, being new, but Dave_r has organised similar meets in the past. I shall try to arrange another after this one and give more notice so if anyone has any ideas / preferences about when and where, let me know.
I think a pub with suitable car park and garden would be a better venue but for ease of meeting up we’ll use the services this time. It doesn’t have to be Exeter either but along the M5 would be helpful to those coming a good distance.
Any ideas for the next one ?

I think your right, if you give more notice and pick a big pub (well at least have good parking) just off the m5, you will get a lot more numbers. We will be up for meets in the future.

I’m not sure what is happening yet on Saturday but if I’m about I’ll pop down and say hello.
I think i shall be in exeter on saterday would be rude not to come along and say hi. i should have the car a bit cleaner by then lol dam back lanes.
Look forward to meeting you. Presently there are 4 cars confirmed, 3 or 4 likely to come if they can and several others interested in this and presumably other events.
I have tried to get permission for us to park up on the prom at Teignmouth, which is restricted these days. I have been passed from Police (the sign says by Police authorisation only) to Town Council, to County Council and back to Town Council. The man who issues permits is on hols but someone else may yet call back.
For future meetings the Ley Arms at Kenn seems a possibility as they also host the Stag Club, Cobra Club and several other car clubs. However it depends on the consensus amongst those who want to attend and of course where they a from. It might be that somewhere further North up the M5 is better, we’ll see.

I have got a permit for a group of GTO’s to park up on the promenade
near the Beachcomber cafe on Saturday so parking won’t be a problem.
The weather is set to be OK but not a scorcher which is good because I won’t have time to fit my new air con condenser before Saturday.
I’ll join you at the Exeter services to say hello but can’t make Teignmouth this time as I have commitments in Newton Abbot (soo close 
) that I just can’t shift unfortunatly.
It will be great to see you. We won’t rush off before you need to then. A friend of mine who is also from your area will be coming along too.

We will meet at the top end of the M5 J30 service area at 11am and leave for Teignmouth once everyone has assembled and are ready to go. Since you cannot join us at Teignmouth though we can stick around and have a coffee and chat with you first. What time will you need to get away ?

PAR will be at work in Teignmouth but I don’t know if he will be able
to step out briefly at lunch time to join us.
We have a permit to park all the cars in a restricted area along the prom
near the pier and the Beachcomber cafe. Coffee and cakes are on me and the weather is expected to be good enough for us to sit outside where the cafe have tables on the sea front beside the cars.
