Just to let you know i’ve just been quoted by Adrian FLux on a chassis number insurance deal.

1997 Mk3 GTO NA
Cat 1 & Tracker
0 No claims bonus

913 quid, 244 deposit + 87 per month after that

500 excess

Nice eh.

How old are you? And where do you live please.

0% no claims and £913 like the man says how old and where are you

I want some of that 70% off £913 = £639 off the price means it will cost me £274 for the year

Yep I will have some of that

I wouldnt toutch AF with a bargepole.

Worst company on the net - EvAR11111.

Fek’up my claim - totally unprofessional - uncareing attitude.

Pay the extra and use someone thats not totally useless.

I cant wait for one of their marketing prople to ring me up one day and ask if I’ll come back to AF … discounted insurance if I do , etc :

Hope you catch my drift.

Adam

As an update, I insured NickB’s car because I wanted to test drive it for 700 quid, now thats a 1991 TT… things went pear shaped with my old man going 6 feet under so I switched to my 97 NA, added a value of 8 grand and the price wehnt to 1600 quid… so ait seems alot of the cost is on your valuation…

Now in my experience your valuation of your car makes bugger all difference to the pay out they give you because the independently evaluate the car after a right off anyway… so go low on the value

You go low & they will pay low, go high & they put up your premium & only pay what they say is market value regardless of what you think its worth, you will never win !!
