Took Brens advise and tried Frizzel and guess what -
The quote was £490 full comp with all the no claims protection stuff.
This is for Only me as the driver - all the mods and Unlimited mileage.
Signed up straight away.
Direct line have just sent through their re-newal quote at £870 - Don’t think so after all the crap I had to go through when I had the prank.
I am 32 with 9 years protected no claims and no points living in a Rural area.

I think you have to over 30 to get insured with Frizzell.

any idea of driver who are only down a listed driver? I am 19 as well.
Yup you have to be old to be insured with them… 
Still cheap insurance is avavilable for the youthfull GTO owner if your willing to spend a week phoning every insurance company under the sun.

What type of vehicle did you specify? Ive just rung them and they said that they cant quote as their database doesn`t have a GTO Twin Turbo on it. No entry in the database, no quote!!

Cant undewrstand that Simon as I’m insured with them £615 full comp protected etc. I’d give them another ring

I had a similar issue with them last year over this, but they seem to have changed things this year & now I’m currently issued with them: I did notice my policy stated Mitsubishi GTO Turbo (Import): I contacted regards to this & they checked with the underwriters & everything seems fine:

Cheers for the replies but I got an excellent deal with my existing broker.£558 fully comp, 6years protected NCB and is down from £800 last year
