…no not to the GTO but to my beloved Nicky - 18 years after we 1st met, she’s finally talked me into it. She’s happy as a pig in ■■■■ and so am I, but I can’t help thinking that all that money for the wedding could have gone into the GTO to make a really serious car - guess I’ll just have to keep graftin so my hopes of big turbos and power next year also become a reality - just don’t tell her I said that…
oh yeah, forgot to mention it’s not until 10th July 2009 - so 1 more year of freedom - well kind of…LOL
best of luck buddy… hope you both have a special day to remeber…Oh, and bribe her for big power upgrades now by saying it will be a cool car to rock up at the church in
thanks for the warm wishes fellas…she asked me if i wanted an engagement ring - i said no, but how about a set of DR650 turbos - i got this kind of look  LOL
…all GTO members who would like to attend are invited of course  - there goes more of what’s left of my ever depleting bank balance
getting married at All Saints church in our home village of Huntington just outside York and then onto Sandburn Hall near Flaxton York which is home to an 18 Hole Championship Golf Course:
then we’ve got an a 3 night stay in the Griffon Forest Log Cabins with their own Jacuzzis and will be transported there by golf buggy - not quite a GTO, but hey you can’t have it all
and then onto Tenerife to the Guayarmina Princess Hotel for a two week stay - we went to Tenerife on our 1st ever holiday together and vowed that 1 day we would stay in this amazing hotel - it’s still great today, though it’s rating has dropped ever so slightly to a 4 star plus from the 5 star that it was then - but it is special to us.
Not the most exotic location, but then we have been to many places around the world since, so this will be our 1st time back to Tenerife for 18 years.
Congratulations, nice to hear she’s making an honest man of you, maybe she can get Associate membership on here now and read all your posts about mods
Tracie :)
Haha - i’m in enough trouble after spending all weekend working on the car - if she ever saw my mods list…well you can imagine - just kidding, Nicky loves the GTO, though she always tells me to slow down these days - but with all that power on tap
cheers craig - GTO won’t be the wedding car, though i might have to pop home for it while we stay at griffon forest lodges for the 1st 3 nights of married life. Nicky has ordered some weird white beaufort 1940’s type car that looks like chitty chitty bang bang - it probably does less mpg than the GTO at £350 quid for around 50 miles of journeys
