Goodwood race track

anyone going to goodwood, west sussex on the first sunday of november 2/11/08
its the goodwood breakfast they do, and its all jap cars. went to one earlier this year and there was as much stuff in the car park as the track, well worth a look. cheers turbo woody

A handful (so far) of us PH members are meeting up in Guildford for the run down.
I’m sure a bigger convoy would be welcomed - I’ll check.

I think (correct me if I’m wrong) it’s best to pre-register to make sure your car is allowed into the display area.

I only hope the weather is better than the last time I went!

I went to the 2 wheels one they had a few months back and there was an impressive turnout.

I’ll certainly be going.

correct me if i am wrong, but i thought you could not pre enter, you just turned up on the day. i will see if i can get a phone number when i get back from snetterton and let you all know ,cheers woody

The last breakfast club of 2008.
(fingers crossed for the weather!)

‘Sushi Sunday’ captures the essence of Japanese motoring culture thourgh the years.

So, anything from the new GTR to a 70’s 240z
maybe a Nissan Cedric (yes really!) or a Honda S800.

We’ll be meeting up at the normal place (Guildford Cathedral…postcode GU2 7UP) at 7am, and aim to leave no later than 7.30am for the run down to ensure we don’t hit any traffic and get a decent spot in the car park.

Sat nav files will be available closer to the date.

My normal rules apply in that this is not a race or rally.
The purpose of this thread is merely to gauge interest in getting a group together to help guide you via an enjoyable scenic route to the Goodwood event.

This is not a competitive event and if you intend to drive in an anti-social way, we’d prefer you didn’t join us. [/quote]

and, in response to “Is it OK if some GTOUK members join us?”,
“The more the merrier”

Right, I’m off to Egypt for a week. I’ll try not to think of any of this while I’m lying on the beach.

Yes, I’ve pre-registered.
I’ll be ready for a hearty breakfast by the time we get there. Tomorrow is scheduled for car cleaning and polishing but rain is forecast for Sunday.

car is all done and gleaming sitting in the garage, will be going what ever the weather, see you there

You don’t say where you’re based, Woody. Are you meeting us at Guildford?

sorry mate,i am based in worthing about 15 miles from goodwood.which route you coming down from guilford

Good to see you there, plus another couple of GTO owners, this morning. The weather was certainly a lot better than the last time I went to one of the meets.
It was a very good turnout on-site and an enjoyable run down.
I’ve decided the NSX is one of the few cars that actually looks good in yellow.
My 10 pics from this morning. What the trans-Am was doing there I’m not sure.

went to this as i only live 10 mins from goodwood
arrived early early and was directed onto the track where they were
trying to get one of each car.
I felt bad because other gto’s there were far nicer than mine.
but all in all was a great day
