That time of the year again and after a few unsuccessful attempts elsewhere I give Greenlight a buzz. Pleasantly surprised, £570 odd give or take which is about as good as I can see it getting for over here and the best part of £300 cheaper than my renewal quote from current insurer Quinn.
Yet to go through the finer details but looks like they’ll be the chaps for me this time round,
Yep im insured with them too. They dont seem to mind mods to much unlike most others.
Did you mention you`re a RMS member think they do a discount for them as they sponsor the website abit.
Will mention that again when ring them John, put it in in the “where did you here about us” part of the form you fill in online.
What have you found the customer service like, see they’re getting a bit of a slating on RMS…
no problems tho they missed a few bits out when setting the policy up but they sorted them out with no problems.
Might be a bit more interesting at renewal time, this time will have alot more mods by then.
Cheers John, as you say think they’re mods happy. Give Aon a bell too if you keep it garaged, got a really good quote from them today (http://www.gtouk.org.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=40154) . Think a few members are with them and they accept mods as well from what I’ve read.
Greenlight were best for me as well.
Renewal was £730 with Adrian Flux - £90 up from last year after being with them for 3 years, obviously relying on me not ringing around.
Sky were pleasant on the phone but wouldn’t quote as I live in a “high risk” area of Preston - must be all the sheep and fields that did it!
Premium choice were very good with a quote of £695, agreed value and mods declared. I actually accepted and paid the premium thinking Greenlight wouldn’t get close until I got the following quote the next morning.
Greenlight - £597 agreed value, all mods declared. Cancelled my Premium choice policy and went with this instead.
Adrian Flux offered to try and match but I expect them to give a loyal customer there best quote not give me a higher one hoping I won’t be bothered to ring round - told them not to bother.
Good stuff Mark, hate that myself when current insurers try to stick it to you then are all to happy to drop sometimes hundreds to keep you, just shows how much some of them are getting out of it.
Must actually give greenlight a buzz now that the car’s at its storage address.
