GTO Twin turbo, intake pipe keeps coming off

hi I was wondering if anybody had a solution to a problem I’m having. my Gto air intake pipe (where it attaches to the carb) the pipe is rubber and when the car is accelerated hard the pipe comes of. ive heard you can get a possible aluminium replacement? any idea of where I can get on from of if they even have a replacement? at current it has a rubber ring on the inside to thicken it out and two jubilee clips holding it on lol. any help would be appreciated !!

Mikalor Clamps are much better for this kind of thing! Tighten it down as much as you can.

It’s a common problem even with the aluminium Y-pipe as you’re still going to have a rubber hose connecting the pipe to the throttle body.

Hope this helps.

Your rubber seal is causing the issue , sort that and get it seated and it will be fine ,

Aluminium pipes can be bought from Ebay , couple of bits o advice if you go down this route though , one bin the nasty silicon coupler that comes with it and buy a proper samco reducing coupler , i had one running 17 psi just held on with normal hose clips and it never faultered , second bit of advice if you get one , check the little vac pipe at the back of it , put a small drill down it to make sure it is clear all the way through and has been drilled into the pipe itself , this in the past hasnt been done and has scrapped an engine

If you can find one as they are like Rocking horse ■■■■ nowadays a DNP y pipe is the best option
