Am in process of sorting location out for this years AGM, will still be held in Coventry but am waiting to see who will give the best deal between The Hilton and Holiday Inn.
The proposed dates are Saturday 11 April or Saturday 18 April.

What’s AGM…? I’ll take a stab in the dark and say annual gto meet…?
@davet25 just a thought but double check with the Hilton regarding parking fees , I know we didn’t have to when we stopped over as it was included , plus the barrier was up in the morning anyway , be a bit of a stinger if we use the function room and get charged for parking , especially for those who don’t stop over

Hi justin,
Yep annual general meeting, it’s basically where committee is voted in/our, annual club reports, information, direction, yearly summary etc is discussed, because the committee is elected in/out its always best for as many members as possible to make this meet to have their say on club running, events, organisation, funds, etc.
we all get together, have a mini show in the hotel car park, have the meeting, visit the bar, go for a meal at a local restaurant/bar then back to th hotel for more social. It’s a great day/nigh out
My concern about the Hilton was the walking distance from there to the old areas as it was further on in to the estate I think
Thanks @butler… No mention of any dancing girls lol… All sounds very serious… It’s just that the venue is about 20 minutes from mine so may show my face… Even if it’s just at the bar…
Well I passed the big Tesco’s on the way into the Hilton which was in the area of the bowling etc so don’t think its too much further but if its lashing down it makes a huge difference
The free entertainment at the Holiday Inn last year was enjoyable though

Lol the serious stuff only lasts 2 hours in the whole evening!! Nothing stays serious for long… Especially at the bar… Hey Stevie?!
AGM is a brilliant event every year. The meal and normally bowling are great chances to chat about anything and the bar at the end is just an excuse to get drunk and talk rubbish.
However, there is a serious side which is vital to the club and how the club matures.
This sounds like a good night. I will be there. As long as work doesn’t send me to the other side of the planet with a weeks notice again!
Simon has been in touch with the Holiday Inn and will post info for the AGM
